Undergarments or underwear are clothes worn under other clothes, often next to the skin. Undergarments are known by a number of terms. Underclothes, underclothing and underwear are formal terms, while undergarments may be more casually called. It is very important wear because of its functional and appearance beauty. Fashion designers create different fashionable undergarments for its increasing demand. Perfect under garments keep him/her fit and confidence. So it is very essential in case of sports.

There are various types of undergarments for mens and womens. Bra or brassiere and panties are worn by females, it is also called bikini. While males often wear briefs, boxer briefs or boxer shorts. Items commonly worn by both sexes include T-shirts, sleeveless shirts, bikini underwear, thongs, and G-strings.

Undergarments have huge importance in everyday life. It not only increase beauty and fitness but also has hygiene importance.

Undergarments serve to keep outer garments from being soiled or damaged by bodily excretions, to lessen the friction of outerwear against the skin, to shape the body, and to provide concealment or support for parts of it. In cold weather, long underwear is sometimes worn to provide additional warmth.

Importance of undergarments does in fact go a lot deeper than simple hygiene and it quite literally affects human health. Maintaining the right genital temperature is very important to staying healthy and therefore choosing of underwear is very important. Essentially, the temperature of genitalia should be slightly higher than the entire body temperature. Here underwear makes all the difference.
