Chemicals for Fabric Dyeing | Different Chemicals Used for Fabric Dyeing

The application of color to the fabric after the fabric has been structured. A bolt or piece of finished fabric is subjected to the dyestuff in the dye bath. Yardage is continuously submerged and dyed to achieve desired color, shade or effect. Fabric piece dyeing allows for mechanical or hand operations of applying color and includes conventional and special processes.
  • Allows for immediate color changes dictated by fashion or styles.
  • Color or shade can be applied to fabric on the short notice.
  • Allows for matching color to other stock fabric.
  • Usually utilized for a single color or limited amount of goods.
  • Method may be used for blended fibers requiring union dyeing or cross dyeing procedures.
  • More economical method to produce color than yarn dyed method.
  • Method or machine selected for dyeing operation depends on type of fabric, dye and effect desired.
In previous article we have discussed about auxiliaries used yarn dyeing . Now, I will give a list of chemicals and auxiliaries with their function in case of fabric dyeing.
